Finally, we honour a fine composer, whose early death at the age of only 59 undoubtedly deprived us of much marvellous choral music. The searing beauty of Leighton’s Crucifixus pro nobis - settings of metaphysical poetry - will be the centrepiece of the programme, which will also include some of his well-crafted organ music.

A programme honouring the 75th anniversary of the birth of Kenneth Leighton, including works by him and Herbert Howells.
