Compose a Christmas Carol
Competition
St Albans Chamber Choir is
delighted to announce its first Christmas Carol Composition Competition.
- The competition is
primarily aimed at GCSE, AS and A Level pupils, but
younger pupils are welcome to enter.
- The Carol should be
scored for SATB choir, either unaccompanied or with piano/keyboard
accompaniment.
- The first prize is the
unique opportunity to hear the winning carol being sung by one of St Albans’
foremost choirs during a concert on 12 December 2009, a CD recording of the
concert and a cheque for £50. There will be two runner-up prizes of £25.
- The competition is free
to enter. Entry forms and the rules can be downloaded (see below).
- The closing date for
entries is Saturday 31 October 2009.
